If you live in the parish of Johnstone, you are fortunate to be able to access a number of funding streams to support community benefit, training and education, and in some cases to subsidise electricity costs.

Grants of between £1 and £20,000 are available for applications that meet the fund criteria.

Johnstonebridge Community Benefit Funding

Grants can be used to start community social or sports groups, purchase equipment, engage in training or education or undertake research or feasibility studies, to name but a few ideas.

Johnstonebridge falls into the area of benefit for several windfarms in the surrounding area. These are Clyde Dumfries & Galloway, Minsca, Harestanes and Minnygap.

Clyde Dumfries & Galloway is an SSE windfarm fund administered by Foundation Scotland.

Minsca is an energy windfarm fund administered by Dumfries and Galloway council through the Johnstonebridge trust.

Harestanes is a Scottish Power Renewables windfarm fund administered by Annandale and Nithsdale Community Benefit Group through Foundation Scotland

Minnygap is a res windfarm administered through the Johnstonebridge development trust through foundation Scotland. It also supplies an Education and Training Fund and for certain areas a local energy discount scheme.

Mini grants of up to £300 and up to £600 are available from some of the above funds directly through the Johnstonebridge Community Centre, via this form  JBCCDT Microgrant Blank Form
