Development Trust
The Development Trust was established in 2012 as a community owned and led organisation which trades for social purposes, ownership of buildings and land, to bring about long-term social, economic and environmental benefits within the local community. The Trust also administers a number of Community Benefit Funds which provide grants to community groups and individuals for projects which benefit the community.
The Trust is keen to see the Johnstonebridge Community Council re-estsblished in order for the two groups to work together to support the communty.
About The Trust
The Johnstonebridge Centre and Community Development Trust was established in 2012. It is a registered charity SC043738 and company limited by guarantee SC429028. The Trust is governed by its Articles of Association which sets out its aims, objectives and powers.
Activity & Events Calendar
The Community Centre is a hive of local activity with something for everyone from todler groups through to senior lunch clubs, bingo, youth clubs, dog training, dance and more. You can also hire the hall or one of the fully equipped meeting rooms for private events and functions.

If you live in the parish of Johnstone, you are fortunate to be able to access a number of funding streams to support community benefit, training and education, and in some cases to subsidise electricity costs. Grants of between £1 and £20,000 are available for applications that meet the fund criteria.

Community Action Plan
The Community Action Plan is a flexible framework for everyone who has Johnstonebridge and its interests at heart: residents, community groups, landowners, businesses, the local authority, Community Planning partners and other agencies. Written in late 2018 based on the views of the community, the plan covers the period of 2019-2023.
